Saturday May 12th
-Staging area opens at 10am and will be located at the Hittle Bottom boat ramp.
(Hittle Bottom Campground is located 23 miles east from the junction of Highway 191 and Highway 128)

-10:00 Day of Registration, events, sponsor booths, and vendors
-NOON Day of Registration Ends
-1:30 All Racer’s should be at starting line for pre-race talk/orientation(Dewey Bridge)
-2:00 Youth Race starts(Dewey Bridge)
-2:10 Elite Race starts(Dewey Bridge)
-2:15 Prone Race starts(Dewey Bridge)
-2:25 Open Race starts(Dewey Bridge)
-5:00 Awards Ceremony and Post Race Party(Hittle Bottom)

All paddlers must wear official bib number during the entire race, failure to do so will result in an automatic disqualification.
Race packets can be picked up Friday May 12, 2017 at Red River Adventures from 5-8 PM.
Drafting is allowed, drafting is defined as being in the wake of a craft or fellow paddler for more than 1 minute in any 5 minute span.
Any assistance from boats other than passing of food, liquids or receiving first aid will result in automatic disqualification.  At no time can the paddler hold onto a boat for any forward advantage.
Safety of all participants is the top priority. All athlete and boat waivers must be signed and suggested safety precautions must be reviewed.
All paddlers must have PFD’s Open-class must have type 3 Prone and Elite-class can wear waist style.
Elite Racers- Stand up paddlers must complete the entire race standing up. Kneeling or sitting for more than one minute will result in disqualification.
The race may be canceled if river conditions are deemed too hazardous by race officials (no refunds on entries).
All paddlers must attend the pre race briefing on May 13, 2017 at 1:30pm at Hittle Bottom starting area.
All racers must be respectful of the rules and property of the entire Moab area and abide by all BLM rules.  There are camping areas all along HWY 128.  We will provide a shuttle to bring athletes back to the starting line after the race.
ANY PADDLER that have not rounded Mile Marker 91 after 4 hours will agree to be picked up by sweep boat and brought to the finish line.
